RunLine brings your Smarter Agility designs onto the field. Your designs sync to your RunLine account, where you can preview them right in the browser. The RunLine app for Meta Quest projects any course from your account at full 1:1 scale into your real training space: walk it and build it in the ring.

I'm an agility judge, and RunLine started as a tool I wanted for myself: a way to preview course flow before competition day and build it exactly to plan in the ring, without a measuring wheel or guesswork. The same need applies to anyone who works with agility courses on paper. Trainers studying upcoming layouts, designers checking their work, clubs setting up for a trial. They all use it the same way.

A Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S. RunLine needs sharp colour passthrough and precise tracking on open ground, and that is exactly what these headsets deliver. Quest 2 is not supported: its tracking sensors are not up to a wide-open agility field. Quest Pro is not supported either: it lacks the passthrough camera access that upcoming RunLine features rely on.

For a full course preview you'll want a real ring or a comparable open area. For planning and review, smaller spaces work too.

Yes, with clear limits that apply to any Meta Quest headset outdoors. The most important one: even a few seconds of direct sunlight on the lenses inside the headset (the glass you look through, not the outer camera lenses) can permanently damage the headset. These lenses focus sunlight onto the displays like a magnifying glass, and this damage is not covered by warranty. Never let the eye side point towards the sun, and keep the headset covered when you carry it. The Quest is also not built for very hot outdoor temperatures. On tracking: large, open spaces with few visual reference points are very demanding for the Quest; in my outdoor tests so far, accuracy has still held up well. One more thing: Meta Quest always treats the floor as a single flat plane. On a sloped or noticeably uneven surface, individual obstacles can end up slightly floating or sunk into the ground.

It is almost always the controllers: held in your hand or in a trouser pocket, they keep the headset in controller mode. Put both controllers down somewhere still and wait a few seconds, then your hands appear. Even faster: gently tap the sides of the two controllers together twice. More on our Quest basics page.

Yes, but only for a minute: in a new environment the Quest asks for a new boundary and rescans the room. That is normal Quest behaviour, not a bug. Stand in the middle, look around the whole space once, keep the lighting even. The matching official guides are on our Quest basics page.

This is almost always a wrong floor height. If the course sits too high or too low, walking creates motion parallax: the grid seems to drift even though it is firmly anchored. The quickest fix is right in RunLine: open the hand menu, press the "Floor" button in the Placement group and drag the course to match the real floor. Alternatively system-wide on the Quest: Settings, Environment setup, Boundary, Set floor level. Details on our Quest basics page.

Yes, specifically a Smarter Agility Pro account. RunLine opens the courses you design in the Smarter Agility Course Designer, and only a Pro account lets RunLine read your courses. Link it to your RunLine account and your designs sync and render at full scale in your space.

Yes. Import is the core flow. Design your course in Smarter Agility as you always do, then open it in RunLine. The 2D plan becomes a full-scale 3D layout in your space.

Obstacles render at regulation dimensions per FCI, and the layout matches the metric distances from your Smarter Agility plan.

Exact pricing will be settled during the open beta; while the beta runs, RunLine is free. The plan is a monthly subscription, with a discount if you commit to a full year.

Sensor data from the headset (cameras, room scans, hand tracking) stays on the device. Your course files are tied to your account. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
